Nha Trang is a popular resort in central Vietnam. The tourist season lasts almost the entire year, and even in summer, when Vietnam is languishing with heat and heavy rains, Nha Trang is quite comfortable to relax. In winter, weather conditions change, the air temperature decreases, but still almost never drops below + 20 ° C.
What is the weather in Nha Trang in December
In terms of rainfall, December is a record month of the year, so you cannot count on a luxurious beach holiday during this period. The weather in December in Nha Trang is not happy, according to statistics, there are no more than a third of sunny days. In practice, this means that it rains often: sometimes it drags on for the whole night, sometimes it pours for half an hour during the day, but at least 3-4 times. It is warm during the day, usually about + 25 ° С, at night + 23 ° С, but at the same time it is humid, sometimes windy.
Short-term clarifications are so short-lived that it will not be possible to fully feel the difference, no matter how much the vacationers would like. Such a sea is absolutely not suitable for swimming. It is not uncommon to see a warning red flag on the central beach of Nha Trang, meaning that swimming is prohibited. Nevertheless, many, despite the weather, prefer to celebrate the New Year in Nha Trang - we ourselves celebrated the holiday there. It was warm, a little windy, big beautiful waves were rising on the sea.
Judging by the reviews of tourists, December is still not the best period for a vacation in Nha Trang, especially if the highest priority is given to beach activities. But for excursions it is quite suitable. You can go to Da Lat, visit the entertainment island "Winperl", just stroll through the streets and parks, go to the spa or sample local delicacies. Nha Trang has good entertainment venues where you can have a great time.
Weather in Nha Trang in January
In January in Nha Trang, the weather is often cloudy - the number of dry and rainy days is almost the same. At the same time, the amount of precipitation decreases sharply, and in comparison with rainy December, the difference is at least 200%.
Despite the fact that January is the coldest month of the year, the weather in Nha Trang is mostly good: during the day it is consistently warm + 26 ° С, + 21 ° С at night, the water in the sea is + 24 ° С. The air humidity is reduced to comfortable values and is 78%. The rains fall most often in the evening or at night, are short-lived and practically do not interfere with a pleasant pastime.
In January it is often windy, sometimes gusts reach 6-8 m / s, the water in the sea becomes cloudy and frothy. Swimming in such weather becomes dangerous even for adults, therefore, it is practically impossible to find especially optimistic reviews of tourists about the January swimming in Nha Trang. It is not bad to dive in the area of Bai Dai or Zoklet beaches - these are the quietest places in Nha Trang without strong waves and currents.
January is already a dry month, so you can count on a successful beach holiday in Nha Trang. According to reviews, even if you can't swim to your heart's content because of the high waves, you will be able to get a tan, however, mainly in the first half of the day. On rainy days, you can sit in a cafe, go shopping or go on an excursion. During our vacation in January in Nha Trang, the weather was favorable for us: we rode a bike around the neighborhood to our heart's content and sunbathed. But they did not always swim because of the waves and muddy water.
Weather in Nha Trang in February
In February, dry, clear weather sets in Nha Trang. + 27 ° С during the day, + 20 ° С at night. The amount of precipitation is minimal for the whole year. The winds are blowing, but compared to January, they are calmer, and most often annoy tourists in the first half of the month. The average speed of gusts is up to 4-6 m / s. At the beginning of the month high waves can rise at sea.
In the second half of February, divers open the season: the sea calms down after the rains, the water becomes clean and transparent, however, it does not have time to warm up properly, and the average water temperature is only + 23 ° C.
Nevertheless, judging by the reviews of tourists, it is the February weather that is best suited for beach activities in Nha Trang. The rains in February are extremely rare and fall in minimal amounts, the water and air temperatures are pleasant. In addition, in February, all Vietnamese celebrate their own New Year, and such a bright event will be hard to miss. In addition to a beach holiday, in February you can diversify your leisure time with interesting excursions in Nha Trang, for example, go to Monkey Island or see exotic plants on Orchid Island.
