Where is the best place to relax in Thailand in November?

Holidays in Thailand in November is a good idea, and almost every resort is suitable for all types of mass tourism. The key word is almost. 🙂

There are some nuances. First, those that are NOT climate related:

sunbathers are unlikely to like the beaches of Pattaya, they are dirty and noisy. At the same time, there are more attractions here, Bangkok is an hour and a half away, and the nightlife is in full swing. It is definitely suitable for party-goers, but controversial for families with children.
Phuket is more favorable for a beach, children's or just a beautiful vacation, but vouchers here are more expensive, and prices for food, transport, etc. higher. But the island is rich in idyllic landscapes and is located close to the "paradise" islands of the Phi Phi archipelago.
Samui is a secluded and wilder place. This does not affect the infrastructure of the resort (everything is sufficiently equipped), but in the evenings you can get bored.
The province of Krabi is like Phuket: both tropical green and tourist fun. This is probably why the resort is dearly loved by Europeans and Australians. However, the nature here is more unusual, the water is not so transparent, although it is clean, and, moreover, the influence of the ebb and flow is strong.

Secondly, it is worth paying attention to the SEASONAL FEATURES of Thailand in the fall:

Phuket in November it can occasionally surprise you with a storm warning, but in general it is dry and hot :).
Pattaya, due to its resistance to monsoons, it is good for the weather all year round, incl. and in the fall.
But on Samui it is not recommended to fly in November. This month the island has a peak of rainy weather.
IN Krabi the high season starts and the weather conditions are favorable for the arrivals.

In terms of temperature, the sea is excellent for swimming (+ 29 ℃) and calmer compared to September and October. Clouds gather much less often, giving free rein to the hot sun (at noon it warms up to + 30 ℃). The probability of short-term showers, and even storms, is still there. But who will you scare with a warm tropical rain that lasts 10-15 minutes at most? 🙂

What to do on the island besides the undeniably beautiful but quickly annoying lying on the beach? There are many recommendations on the Internet - excursions and snorkeling activities, neighboring islands ... But what about specifics?

Here is our list of what we managed to do in Phuket:

Sunbathe on the three main beaches - Patong, Karon and Kata,

As you can see, the James Bond Islands, Phi Phi Islands, etc. we didn't go. There was not enough time, and after asking around those who were there, we were convinced that the exotic impressions disappear at the sight of a myriad of tourists.

Phuket Tours

It happens that the voucher is sold at the price of the flight, i.e. less than 40,000 rubles, but this is extremely rare. You can throw off a few thousand rubles from the total cost of your trip if you think about the trip in advance. Tours to Phuket in November with early booking are 15-20% cheaper than before the departure date.

A few tips from us:

Tours with accommodation in hotels located near Patong Beach are usually cheaper than with accommodation in hotels near Karon and Kata beaches. It is understandable, Patong is noisy, crowded and not so clean.
If you are traveling without children, we advise you not to overpay and choose a tour to a hotel in Patong. On the spot - rent a bike and drive to Kata or Karon in 15-20 minutes. We do this every time 🙂

Pattaya in November

Our friend went on vacation to Thailand in 2020 to Pattaya - for the sixth time in a row. We would never have understood him if we ourselves had not flown to Pattaya that year - in general, there is something in it (for example, cheap prices for everything). We were here in December, but the reviews of tourists confirm that Pattaya in November is already good in terms of weather: + 30 ° С in the air, + 29 ° С in the water, and 9-10 rainy days per month.

The beaches in the city are not very good. As well as the sea. Therefore, the desire to swim in clean water and sunbathe on a well-equipped beach is feasible on the neighboring island of Ko Lan (50 minutes by ferry) or in the south of the resort, on the Military Beach (Sai Keo).

One of the main decorations is the garden of million year stones. Here you will see petrified trees, waterfalls, a small zoo and a real crocodile farm.

For comparison, at the end of the month the cost rises to 80,000 rubles.
