The largest landscape park in Sochi is the pride of the resort. This is the best place in the city for leisurely walks. The park is beautiful at any time of the year, but it is most impressive in the spring when everything is in bloom. Let's walk through the arboretum together!
Photo walk through the arboretum
Sochi Arboretum - 46.4 hectares of exotic plants in the center of the resort! This is the largest landscape park in Sochi. There you will see palm trees of all types and sizes, graceful Japanese maples, powerful yews, slender fragrant cypresses, shady thickets of thin bamboo, delicate magnolia flowers, luxurious roses, oleander bushes and even eucalyptus and sequoia groves. And how good it smells in this huge botanical garden ...
The arboretum is gigantic and is divided into two parts - an upper and a lower park. First we went to the top one. It is larger and located on a slope, so a cable car was made to its top. And everything would be fine, but the price of travel was raised to the point of indecency - for example, a family with several children will already be expensive. We decided not to spend money and went upstairs on foot, returned back the same way.
On the way up, we admired the beautiful fountains, sculptures, gazebos and the villa of the founder of the Nadezhda park. It's all framed by lush greenery, so it's damn photogenic!
The park has themed corners: Chinese Courtyard, Japanese Garden, Mexican Corner, Alley of Mayors, Colchis Forest. The Japanese Garden is very peaceful, and there are also unusual aerial roots of swamp cypress. In the Chinese courtyard, well-fed carps in the pond attract attention - they can be fed with pre-purchased food.
